2018 College Campus Visits

Students are encouraged to meet with the many admission counselors and representatives who visit our school to talk about the new and exciting developments happening on their campuses.  Students should log on to their Naviance Student account to view the most current list of schools scheduled to visit the Prep.

Once logged on, click on “Colleges.” Look at the top right corner to view “Upcoming College Visits,” click to view the list and click “Sign Up” to register. Most visits are scheduled during the Enrichment Period; however, junior and senior students must seek approval from their teacher to attend a college presentation if scheduled during a class period.

Outside Local Scholarships

Naviance Student is updated as new scholarship opportunities arrive from area organizations. By dedicating a small amount of time to applying, students may offset college expenses; however, application due dates come quickly. Yearly, the St. Augustine Prep College Guidance Department is contacted by local, regional, and national organizations who are seeking student applications for the scholarships they have available and will be awarded.  The criteria, deadlines, submission requirements, and financial awards vary.

To access the many scholarships that are available:

  1. Log on to Naviance Student.
  2. Click on Colleges.
  3. Scroll down to Scholarships & Money and click on Scholarship List.
  4. Using Browse by Category select St. Augustine Prep Local (which has the latest scholarships). Prep Local, Prep Regional, Prep National and Prep Sports contain prior year scholarships awaiting updated information from the organizations.

Sorting by St. Augustine Prep Local will narrow your search to only those scholarships that have been updated by the organizations and sent to our office this year. As new scholarship opportunities are received, Naviance Student will be updated. Additionally, when you apply for a scholarship please print and include the St. Augustine Prep Scholarship Application Contact Letter with your application. If you are selected for the award, the letter requests the organization notify our department.

There are specific resources, such as the search engine SuperMatch, that match student profiles with colleges, in addition to personality tests that help students, parents, and counselors find the best fit for college.
