2017 Gregor Mendel Medal Award Winners

Dan and Lisa Falasca

On the evening of November 16, 2017, St. Augustine Prep hosted the 44th Gregor Mendel Medal Dinner.

The Mendel Medal, named after Gregor Mendel, a 19th century Augustinian Monk, is the highest honor bestowed upon individuals within the St. Augustine Prep Community.  This year’s recipients, Daniel and Lisa Falasca have been instrumental participants in the school’s transformative life and tuition assistance program, Keep Them in Blazers. The Falascas join a prominent group of community, political, business, and spiritual leaders who have been honored for their service and philanthropy.

Dan and Lisa have been active participants and ambassadors for the Keep Them In Blazers program since 2012.  Their investment and commitment to the transformational life and tuition assistance program has had a significant impact on the lives of students.

Dan Falasca serves as Chief Executive Officer and President of Falasca Mechanical, Inc. Falasca Mechanical has been instrumental in the evolution of expansion at St. Augustine Prep over the past sixty years.

Lisa Falasca is a former member of the Board of Directors at St. Augustine Prep and has been actively involved in the school community.

Mr. and Mrs. Falasca are the proud parents of Danny ’12 and Morgan ’14 (OLMA); they reside in East Vineland and Longport.

The nearly 300 guests in attendance to honor the Falascas included key constituent groups within the school community and professional industry partners from South Jersey and the Greater Philadelphia area.
