St. Augustine Prep’s senior class wasn’t the only group celebrating during last week’s graduation held on-campus. The ‘Golden Hermits’ from the Class of 1971 joined their brothers from the Class of 2021 for this year’s Baccalaureate and Commencement Ceremony. The joy on the face of the members of the Class of 1971 in attendance was clear and their younger Hermit Brothers were just as excited to share the day with them. Following the ceremony, a small reception was held at the Greenview Inn in Vineland, NJ. The stories from their days in Richland were abundant and heartwarming of all was their desire to continue making a difference for their alma mater and future Hermit Brothers.

The presence of the Class of ’71 provided a bridge between the past and the future as they joined 148 seniors who officially entered the alumni phase of their journey as Hermits.
