Kingett ’09 Tabbed as Rowan Special Teams Coordinator and Defensive Backs Coach

2009 graduate Kurt Kingett enjoyed a prolific career as a scholar-athlete for Rowan Football, he will now lead them in a coaching capacity. During his time as a defensive back, Kurt helped the Profs to two NJAC titles and three appearances in the NCAA Division III playoffs. He was a two-time All-NJAC performer, being named to the First Team in 2014 after selection to the Second Team in 2012.  Accumulating 114 tackles and four interceptions in 38 career games, he was also named to the USA College Football All-America Second Team in 2014.  A team captain, he also received NJAC All-Academic Honorable Mention in 2013 and in 2014 and was the recipient of the Richard Wackar Brown & Gold Gridiron Club Award, given to the senior player who most exemplifies Profs’ Football. With his decorated career in tow along with a bachelor’s in Accounting and an MBA both earned at Rowan, Kurt made the transition to the coaching ranks in 2017.  Along with his duties as an assistant coach, Kingett was tasked with the program’s growing social media presence.  He now heads into the upcoming season as the Profs Special Teams Coordinator and Defensive Backs coach.
