Prep Students Get Hands-On (and Knee and Shoulder) Surgery Experience

Posted July 11th, 2015

It’s one thing to read and learn about anatomy from books, but it’s another experience altogether when you have the chance to learn in a hands-on environment. Honors Anatomy and Physiology students visited Premiere Orthopaedic Associates in Vineland where they were able to see the work of doctors up close and personal, even watching a real knee and shoulder, a cadaver donation, being operated on.

According to a recent article by NJ.com, Vice President of Premier Orthopaedic Associates, Dr. Fred McAlpin III, hopes that the experience sparks an interest in medicine for all of the attendees.
