On Friday we will celebrate International Women’s Day here on campus.  International Women’s Day (March 8th) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.

While some classes are scheduled to attend certain sessions on Friday, (see schedule) if you are free and would like to attend a session please do!  You can access the scheduled for the day here.

In addition, since internationally, purple is a color for symbolizing women, you are encouraged to wear purple ties, purple socks, etc. on Friday.

I also encourage you to take a look at the slides on the televisions throughout campus to learn more about women and their impact in fields such as sports, science, and politics.

Reminder:   Transportation forms are due this Friday, March 8th.  Every student must have a B6T form on file regardless of how you travel to campus.  See Mrs. Carr in the Main Office of the Forum if you have any questions.
