School Store Coordinator 

St. Augustine Preparatory School, an independent 8 – 12 boys school in Richland, NJ, seeks a School Store Coordinator for part-time hourly position.

Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Maintain a welcoming, professional environment and positive attitude toward all who enter the Prep Shop.
  • Proficient in Google and Microsoft products and knowledgeable on EBMS software in order to record all sales and inventory.
  • Reconcile manual inventory counts to inventory reports.
  • Research outside sources to seek new, innovative and quality products that will be attractive to buyers.
  • Work with our communications department to advertise Prep Shop merchandise.
  • Supervise parental and student volunteers to ensure proper staffing.
  • Periodically review on-line store merchandise for correct branding guidelines.
  • Promotes and implements our campus “Script” program.
  • Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

Functions of the Job: 

  • Maintains a clean and neat store.
  • Assist customers with questions.
  • Become knowledgeable of Prep dress codes.
  • Reconcile and communicate daily receipts to the Controller.
  • Prepare any reports deemed necessary by the Controller.
  • Prepare monthly sales reports to the Controller.
  • Maintain inventory levels and work with Purchaser for ordering new products and replenishing stock.
  • Perform manual inventory at least two times per year as directed by Controller.
  • Ability to stand for several hours, lift and move 25 lb. boxes and climb ladder to stock goods.

Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Prior retail experience preferred.
  • High school diploma, or equivalent, mandatory.
  • Ability to flex schedule to accommodate select evening and weekend events (schedule adjustments will be communicated well in advance).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
