Cross Country Practice Feels Like Home-Justin Wright, Class of 2018

Posted March 25th, 2015

There are many times of the day at Prep that I thoroughly enjoy. From the deliciousness of D-period lunch, to getting big during Lifetime Fitness, there are times where I can’t get enough of The Prep. But there is one time that truly stands out during the day, one that always makes me feel like I’m right at home—Cross Country practice. Cross Country practice has always given me that feeling, whether it be getting ready for practice, during some of the runs, or after our runs, I have never felt anything like it. There is no doubt I feel the brotherhood during practice for Cross Country. Through the seemingly brutal workouts, to the rich chocolate milk Mr. Dugan brings for us after our races, the Cross Country team has grown into a family. Cross Country helped me to assimilate into a new group of friends— something that would have been more difficult without its help. So when Cross Country season rolls around again, I’ll be right at home, during my favorite time of the day.
