The Hermits Athletics Hall of Fame proudly congratulates
the accomplishments and contributions of the Hall of Fame Class of 2024!

We thank all who joined us at the Prep on Saturday, March 22, 2025, as the school honored these proud representatives of the Hermits Brotherhood who excelled in their sports or roles and brought honor, recognition, distinction, and excellence to St. Augustine Prep. This recognition maintains the school’s spirit, pride, and sense of community and celebrates the storied history and tradition of Hermits Athletics.

Highlights from the 2025 Hermits Athletics Hall of Fame Dinner

RICHLAND, NJ, March 23, 2025 – In a powerful celebration of legacy, brotherhood, and excellence, St. Augustine Prep proudly welcomed the Hermits Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2025 during a moving ceremony held in the Rodio Gymnasium, which was masterfully transformed by NMR Events and the Meduri Family P’15 ’17 ’21.

This year’s class was headlined by the 2005 state champion Hermits Soccer team, along with one of its most impactful contributors, the late Todd Sheridan ’06, whose memory was honored with deep reverence. More than 200 guests filled the gymnasium, while others participated virtually through heartfelt video tributes—many of which celebrated the enduring bonds of the Hermit Brotherhood.

The evening began with a special video presentation, anchored and produced by the Hermits Broadcasting Channel, featuring Frankie Brown ’27, Enrico Botto Jr. ’26, Adam Louis ’28, and Patrick Kearney ’26. The piece highlighted the accomplishments of the incoming class of Hall of Fame inductees and the continued, unwavering support of the Prep community.

Later in the program, Athletic Director Michael Rizzo ’86 P’11 introduced a second video—also produced by the Hermits Broadcasting Channel—that captured the recent momentum of Hermits Athletics, which has included another impressive run of state championships (Baseball 2025, Rugby 15’s 2025, Swimming 2025) and continued excellence across all programs.

Fr. Robert J. Murray, O.S.A., Ph.D., Head of School, addressed the crowd, honoring the achievements and selfless contributions of this year’s inductees. Master of Ceremonies David Catalana ’82 P’13 then welcomed each honoree to the stage, where they shared reflections on how their time at the Prep—and the values instilled in them—shaped their lives well beyond the playing field.

Many expressed gratitude to the teachers, coaches, and administrators who guided them during their time as students, including iconic figures such as Coach Paul Rodio ’70 P’09’11 G’25, Coach Tony Iaconelli P’10, Coach Mike Rizzo ’86 P’11, Mr. Anthony Spina, and more.

Also honored were two individuals whose contributions exemplify the heart and soul of Hermits Athletics. Mr. Bob McCormick P’17 ’21, a generous benefactor and loyal supporter of the Augustinian mission, received the Hermit Pride Award. Coach Len Dolson P’21’21, the leader of the Hermits Golf program since 1997, was presented with the Paul A. Rodio Excellence in Coaching Award as he enters the 2025 season nearing his 500th career win.

Surrounded by family, friends, classmates, and teammates, the Class of 2025 celebrated a night that both honored the past and inspired the future.

As the Prep community continues to champion its scholar-athletes, the spirit of Hermits Athletics remains as strong as ever. For nearly seven decades, ongoing support has elevated the Brotherhood—building champions, forming leaders, and laying the foundation for continued growth across all facets of the athletic experience. And while much has been accomplished, there’s an undeniable sense that even brighter days lie ahead in Richland.
