A Preview Of The 2022 Hermits Football Season
By: Kevin Cole
Our football team had a good run this year with over an 82% win rate and only two losses. WIth nine wins, we went to semifinals losing to Don Bosco Prep. Our biggest threat was schools out of South Jersey. We are currently first in the West Jersey League and are going to play St. Peter’s Prep, St. Joe’s, Cherokee, Millville, Holy Spirit, Shawnee, Williamstown, Eastside, and Lenape. Millville and Cherokee are our biggest challenges. Millville is 2nd in our league and had 12 wins last year with one loss to us. Their running back LeQuint Allen was named football player of the year. Another team we have to be worried about is Cherokee. They were ranked 6th in the final group 5 for 2021. That being said, our football team is going to have a pretty solid lineup for the fall: Ryan Gambill (QB), Nadir Bethune (RB), Terrin Walker (TE), Noah Cressman (OL), Rob Adamson (DL), Chris Collot (LB), Na’cire Christmas (CB), Tristan McCleer (S), Matt Castle (WR), and Brandon Bispo (K). We are off to a great start for next season. GO HERMITS!!!
