Academic Awards Night 2016
Posted May 15th, 2016
On May 5, 2016, we held our Academic Awards Night. This night recognizes the highest achieving student(s) in each course that a faculty member teaches.
As the academic year draws to a conclusion, we wanted to celebrate our students’ hard work and thank them for the dedication they showed in the classroom.
St. Augustine encourages dependence between students in a classroom and encourages our students to help their brothers who may be struggling academically. St. Augustine references this in his work, Exposition on the Psalms,
“Let those quicker in understanding show that they walk along the road together with those who are slower. When one is faster than a companion, he has the power to let the slower one catch up, not vice versa. If the faster walks as fast as possible, the slower will not succeed in following. The faster one must slow the pace to avoid abandoning the slower companion.”
That is Brotherhood.
