Academic Opportunity/Advice for Freshman and Sophomores
Posted July 8th, 2014
Freshman year is a transition year academically, and sophomore year is the most rigorous with coursework. With this is mind, the Academics Office is suggests considering the big picture when choosing classes and plan for four years. We strongly advise taking Public Speaking/Computer Coding in the freshman year. It will relieve some rigor from sophomore year. There are 20 open seats in these semester courses for freshmen next year. If you would like to change into these classes and drop Lifetime Fitness Skills, please contact the Academics Office at 856-697-2600 extensions 108 or 159. This might be a smart decision as you look forward to the classes you will need to take during your sophomore year. Freshman and Sophomore Opportunity: If you are a student who would like to take a Fine Arts course (Vocals, Instrumentals, Art) for three or four years, then obviously you must start by taking a Fine Arts course during your freshman or sophomore year. The Academics Office will forego the Lifetime Fitness Skills requirement for a student who pursues an Art for three or four years.
