Adam Jadick Awarded Eagle Scout Rank

Posted March 27th, 2012

Adam Jadick appeared before the Board of Review for Eagle Scout February 15, 2012 and awarded his Eagle Scout rank. It was significant to earn the Eagle Scout rank in 2012 because this is the 100 year anniversary of this award. Adam is a member of Boy Scout troop 580 which is sponsored by the Millville Elks Lodge. Adam has been involved with the scouts since second grade. He has held various leadership positions in the troop with the latest being the senior patrol leader.

His Eagle Scout project was improvement of the recreation area of the Elks Lodge in Millville through landscaping. He obtained the funds and formulated a plan based on the finances and member input to best meet the needs of this community organization. He then coordinated manpower from start to finish for the project. Clean up of the area was performed first, followed by the placement of fill dirt, planting of grass seed, and planting of perennial flowers as well as ornamental bushes.

The Elks were delighted that the project was done for minimal cost and believe the area will encourage its members to use this outside recreational areas for family and community activities. It may also aid in attracting new members to the Elks Lodge in Millville.

Congratulations, Adam!
