Alumni Association Phone-a-thon Welcomes Class of 2018

Posted August 19th, 2014

On Sunday, August 10, members of the Alumni Association participated in the annual Freshman Phone-a-thon, a summer tradition of the group.  All incoming students were called by an alumnus who welcomed them into the Hermit Brotherhood, answered any questions they may have had, and reassured them there are many resources both the school and the association have to offer to make their transition from grade school to high school as seamless as possible.

“Out of all the Alumni Association events, I find the greatest joy and satisfaction from the phone-a-thon,” said Don Healy, Class of 1963.  “I was extremely impressed at the poise and confidence of this year’s class and expect great things, both academically and athletically as soon as they step foot on campus.”

Mr. Healy, whose grandson, Christopher Martucci, is in this year’s class, will also be giving the Alumni address at the Brotherhood Ceremony, on Wednesday, September 3.
