Posted April 1st, 2014
On Wednesday, March 26, C4C Kyle P. Brandt (Class of 2013), now representing the United States Air Force Academy, CS – 27 Thunderbirds, visited St. Augustine Prep to speak with Prep students on the advantages of attending the academy. “Success is in your hand, all you have to do is hold onto it,” said Brandt, referring to the sound academic preparation as well as the scrupulous support received from St. Augustine Prep faculty and staff. Brandt reviewed in detail the rigors of the academy but also discussed the vast opportunities and the honor of being part of a team and working together for a greater good. Kyle is the first non-native speaker of Arabic to validate both 100 level Arabic courses and paid homage to Mr. Adam Sheppard for his command of the language.
Next Military Visit: Thursday, April 3: Stu Lockhart, a United States Naval Academy Blue and Gold Officer, will be visiting the Prep to speak with students interested in the USNA or Naval ROTC from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in the Zerbo Conference Room.
Those students who are considering to apply to an academy are encouraged to meet with the representative and be prepared to ask pertinent questions.
