Accepted Students Night Welcomes Classes of ’26 and ’27
Thanks to a few extra voices in the stands, the Richland Rowdies filled Rodio Gym to provide one of their most raucous performances of recent memory. Accepted Students Night was upon us and the school community joined together to welcome the newest members of the Hermit Brotherhood from the Classes of 2026 & 2027. Rising 8th and 9th Graders experienced their first of many evenings in the Rodio Gym cheering on their Brothers on the hardwood. The special night was made even more memorable as the Hermits secured a thrilling overtime win over a talented Paul VI squad. A turnaround jump shot in the final seconds of regulation by sophomore Elijah Brown tied the score at 55 and pushed the game into an extra frame. The frantic play sent the sold-out Richland Rowdies student section into an absolute frenzy setting the stage for the Hermits’ eventual 64-61 win.
The presence of the new students and families combined with the exceptional performance by Coach Rodio’s well-prepared team led to an atmosphere that is all too familiar to those in the Hermit Brotherhood. For our accepted students, it was a glimpse into the special place that will become their home away from home.
