Cameron Compare ’21 contributes to the fight against COVID-19

Posted April 15th, 2020

Making a difference in the community and striving to be agents of change have become foundational aspects of a St. Augustine Prep student’s character.

Cameron Compare ’21 has checked off both of those boxes as he sought to find a way to make his contribution in the fight against COVID-19.  He began by researching where and how he could acquire PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for local hospitals in need.  After locating the equipment, Cameron used his own finances – made primarily through hours of work at a summer job – to make a sizable order to donate.  The work resulted in securing 20 cases of surgical gloves which, as of last week, had already made their way to Shore Memorial Hospital in Somers Point, NJ. The 20-case donation amounted to over 20,000 gloves for the hospital to provide to health care providers desperately in need of the protective equipment.

Cameron serves as an inspiration for all of us to continue helping those in need through the Augustinian Values of Truth, Unity, and Love.
