Caritas Project to Benefit Families in Dominican Republic
Posted May 15th, 2012
Dear Prep Community,
Our names are Vincent Silvanio and Anthony Sergi and we are traveling to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. As everyone is aware, each senior is required to complete a Caritas Project prior to graduation. Together, Anthony and I will work with missionaries and priests (Order of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary) to assist those who are less fortunate. We will be delivering goods and supplies to families and schools in desperate need, educating the young impoverished children, and engaging in prayer services. In order to deliver items to the destitute families in the Dominican Republic, we need YOUR help with donations. Money is greatly appreciated, but we are not necessarily asking for monetary donations.
Any of the following items will be appreciated as donations: Mosquito nets, shirts, shorts, tank tops, rice, sandals, beans, toothbrushes, toothpaste, Spanish literature, Rosaries, and prayer books. The clothing items can be gently worn.
There will be two bins for donations in the entrance to the Forum. Monetary donations can be delivered to the main office in the Forum.
Thank you for your support!
