Classes Raise Money and Collect Gifts for Brooklyn Families

The students in Ms. Elayne Sama’s class have taken up a collection of both toys and donations to benefit misfortunate families from Brooklyn, N.Y., in coordination with the Carmelite nuns there. The classes have raised nearly $500 and 15 cartons of toys. One toy that was particularly generous was donated by the family of Shane Goldschmid. Students from Ms. Sama’s class are pictured with the bike.
