Cloud Services Available to Students on Campus

Posted January 11th, 2013

St. Augustine Prep’s LAN (local area network) is compatible with Google cloud services. Due to time and fiscal constraints, the IT department cannot build out compatibility with the myriad of cloud services available in the marketplace.

Students who wish to utilize on-line file storage (cloud storage) for their documents, while on campus, should use Google Drive (http://drive.google.com). Google Drive accounts come with 5GB of free storage and every student already has a Google Drive account. To login, use your full hermits.org e-mail address (example: lastname.firstname@hermits.org) as the username and the same password you use to access your hermits.org e-mail. This link has very useful video tutorials on using Google Cloud services: https://sites.google.com/site/cliotech/google-docs.

iCloud, Dropbox, Box.net, Evernote, and other on-line file storage (cloud storage) is not accessible to students while on campus.
