College Interview Day a Success

On Tuesday, October 8, St. Augustine Prep held its first annual College Interview Day in the Edith Favretto Scarpa Arts and Sciences Building. Prep seniors had the opportunity to to meet and speak with admission counselors from fifteen colleges and universities.

The following schools conducted interviews throughout the day: Arcadia University, The Catholic University of America, Drew University, Fairleigh Dickinson University, High Point University, Merrimack College, Moravian College, Mount St. Mary’s University, Neumann University, Philadelphia University, Rider University, The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, Saint Joseph’s University, Ursinus College, and Widener University.
Arcadia University, Fairleigh Dickinson University, Moravian College, Neumann University, The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, and Widener University also agreed to provide admissions instant decision for those Prep students who met their academic profile requirements.

The senior students who attended the Interview Day received 43 acceptances from six schools. $1.36 million dollars was awarded to 18 of the 43 students over four years. Many of the others will hear within a week what their merit award is.

8 other counselors indicated that 101 additional students can expect acceptance to their school given their current academic profile and interview success.
Additionally, one school indicated that 9 students will qualify for $584,000 over four years upon receipt of applications to that particular school.

Two students were offered full tuition totaling approximately $136,000 each.

This was the first College Interview Day at St. Augustine Prep and the College Guidance Department is hopeful that it will become an annual event!
