Dan Hilferty Class of 1974 Awarded Mendel Medal

Nearly 250 friends, colleagues, school supporters, government and business leaders, and members of the Hermit Brotherhood attended the Gregor Mendel Medal Award Dinner, honoring alumnus Daniel J. Hilferty ’74. The event, held at the Union League of Philadelphia on November 13 honored Hilferty with St. Augustine Prep’s most prestigious honor given to outstanding and contemporary constituents of the school in recognition of their accomplishments and philanthropic efforts. Hilferty is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Independence Blue Cross. Those attending included Former Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell.
