Dress Down Day Raises Over $5000 for Prep Family

Posted March 2nd, 2012

On Friday, March 2, the St. Augustine Prep community produced another example of the Augustinian value of caritas. Less than 24 hours after announcing that the proceeds of a dress down day would be passed on to the family of Dante Marroccelli (Class of 2012), whose family lost their home to a fire this week, over $5000 was raised through the generosity of Prep students and their families. Many students turned in donations that were beyond the suggested value of $5.00. Families have been calling and emailing the school to inquire about different ways to help the Marroccelli family. If you would like additional information about donations in the name of the Marroccelli family, please contact Mrs. Mary Esposito in the Academic Office at Mrs.Esposito@hermits.com or Mrs. Rebecca Pippett at Mrs.Pippett@hermits.com.
