Eighth Grade Tours Philadelphia’s Most Important Catholic Sites

Eighth Grade: Making Their Mark

The entire eighth grade class visited the most important Catholic sites in the Philadelphia area: the
Shrine of St. Rita of Cascia, the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul and Old St. Augustine
Church. Tours of each site, a prayer service and question and answer periods were the
highlights of the day, thanks to the leadership of Fr. Tony and Mr. Casolaro. A special thank you to
our faculty chaperones Mr. Boody, Mr. Murphy, Mr. Peterson, Brother Dave and Ms. Mirabella,
as well as our parent chaperones, Mrs. Muller, Mrs. Deery and Mrs. Ventura. We are grateful
for the office of Campus Ministry for allowing our students to enjoy this experience.

Eighth Grader Landon Davis summarized the trip to Phildelphia , “It was cool because seeing the architecture of the churches with the complex designs was crazy. The amount of work that the stained glass and paintings took really was amazing.”
