Environmental Club Celebrates National Recycle Day
Posted November 19th, 2013
On Friday, November 15, the Environmental Club celebrated National Recycle Day. All students were encouraged to dress in green, and the proceeds benefited both the National Wildlife Federation and the Canuso Foundation Babes in Dodgeball (Rutgers), which helps brighten the lives of children who are coping with childhood cancer, serious illness, or disabilities. The club played a looped PowerPoint presentation during the lunch periods that included reminders about the importance of sorting waste correctly. As an ongoing annual event, the Environmental Club continues to collect used cell phones (to benefit Project Hopeline, which supports victims of domestic violence), ink cartridges, and small electronics (which go to the Funding Factory and proceeds are returned to the school).
