Environmental Stewardship Third Semester Students Give Back
Posted March 18th, 2016
In the thick of it (literally) at Cape May Point State Park the dedicated, hardworking Environmental Stewardship Third Semester students worked to remove invasive plants that threaten the natural habitats for local wildlife at the park.
Many local residents and thousands of visitors frequent the park each year to enjoy the scenic views, the lighthouse, migratory birds and nature trail. Few are courageous enough to sacrifice their time and effort to remove the destructive plants that endanger the habitats of local plants and animals.
The students worked hand in hand with the park ranger, naturalist and other volunteers to provide a much-needed service. The hardworking students clearly made a difference and their example served as a reminder of the importance of giving back to maintain and preserve a cleaner and greener New Jersey.
