Fall Sports Athletes Ready to Begin the Season!

Posted September 2nd, 2015

Hermit Nation, welcome to a new athletic year! The official start of the fall sports season is less than two weeks away, and we would love to see our stands filled with all our Hermit fans! Check out our schedule at http://ow.ly/RELM0.

Enthusiasm and excitement are already evident. Coach Lawrence Hickman has taken over the reins of a talented, young cross country squad. The combination of the highest turnout of cross country participants in years, along with dedicated returning lettermen, finds the Hermits energized, running great times and improving daily.

Our soccer program headed by 5th year head coach Steve Rolando has improved their training regimen to prepare for a much more difficult conference and non-conference schedule. Led by captains Kyle Lindsay and Christian Bik, the Hermits have their sites on a long post-season run.

Under Coach Mark Reardon, Hermits football is coming off of their most impressive pre-season ever. The Hermits tout a quicker, more physical and more experienced defense anchored by seniors Dante Enos, Jim Brady, and AJ Baxter. Ball hawk Shamere Collins and speedster Zeke Ennis provide excitement in the defensive backfield, and senior QB Jose Tabora leads a very young and talented group of skilled position players on offense.

Best of luck this fall to all of our Hermit scholar-athletes who consistently strive to achieve their goals while keeping the mission of St. Augustine forefront in their minds, both on and off the field. Let’s start revving it up, Richland Rowdies- can’t wait to watch you welcome a new group of freshmen Rowdies to the brotherhood at Hermitfest.  Hermit fans are simply the best.
