Fr. Reilly Speaks to Sophomore Class

Posted November 15th, 2015

Fr. Reilly spoke to the sophomore class during Open Period encouraging the students to enjoy where they are. After taking a few deep breaths in and out – their blood pressure dropped by five degrees which Fr. Reilly says increases learning capacity. Fr. Reilly stressed that the calmer you are the quicker you learn. He spoke in reference to the night before he took his doctoral dissertation, how nervous he was, and that his professor encouraged the class to go to a movie with a friend.

He also shared a very interesting article from Psychology Today entitled, “What You Should Know About Your Brain,” which was very well received. Watch the short video below to hear Fr. Reilly’s wise words to the sophomore class.
