Freshman Joseph Lascala Performed for Pope Francis with the Philadelphia Boys Choir
Posted November 2nd, 2015
Freshman Joseph Lascala performed for Pope Francis with the Philadelphia Boys Choir. In reference to the experience Joseph said, “Singing at the World Meeting of Families was, needless to say, an incredible experience. Not only did I sing in front of over one-and-a-half million people, but I was able to stand and sing on the very stage that the Papal Mass took place on. In addition to that, after we performed and we were relaxing around our green room tent, the Pope Mobile drove right by us! It was definitely an amazing day.”
The picture to the left was taken while waiting to go backstage. The photo below was taken on the stage, walking to where the Choir were about to sing; the same stage where the Pope gave his Mass a little later on. The chair seen in the picture is where Pope Francis sat.
