The Blessing of Giving

“In everything I showed you that by working hard in this manner you must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.”  ACT 20:35

This past Christmas season, the Prep Community united together in the spirit of giving to form an alliance in support of the 172 young children attending the Holy Name School in Camden.

By way of the giving tree; established by Mr. Don Casolaro during Mass, the St. Augustine Prep’s student body along with faculty and staff, donated new toys, clothes, books and even gift cards. Packed and organized by age in large sacks, a bus load of toys was delivered to Ms. Patricia Quinter, the school’s principal by the Hermits Basketball team.

The kids were surprised and certainly overjoyed – but more so; these beautiful children were truly grateful and very appreciative.  The kindness and generosity from the Prep community made a difference.
