Hermits Achieve Top Honors in the AATSP National Spanish Exam

Congratulations to All AATSP National Spanish Exam Award Winners!
We are proud to celebrate our world language students for their exceptional performance in the AATSP National Spanish Exam, earning top awards in this prestigious competition.
The AATSP National Spanish Exam, held in April 2024, is a rigorous, standardized online assessment that evaluates students on content knowledge (vocabulary and grammar) and performance skills (reading and listening comprehension). Beyond measuring proficiency, this annual exam motivates students by recognizing their progress and providing opportunities to compete for national honors.
Students who score at or above the 75th percentile at the national level receive medals and become eligible to apply for scholarships such as the Global Citizen Scholarship and the Junior Study Abroad Program. These accolades not only celebrate individual achievement but also the role of Spanish language education in fostering global citizenship.
Medal Recipients

Gold Medal – Rafael Rivera
• Awarded to students scoring in the top 95th percentile or higher. This represents exceptional mastery and dedication to Spanish language studies.
Silver Medal – Luke Tanzola
• Presented to students scoring in the 85th to 94th percentile, reflecting strong command of the material and commitment to excellence.
Bronze Medal – Puri Garzone
• Earned by students scoring in the 75th to 84th percentile, recognizing their diligence and growing expertise in Spanish.
Honorable Mention – Adrian Arbelo & Frankie Brown
• Awarded to students scoring in the 50th to 74th percentile, acknowledging significant effort and achievement.
