Hermits win Best of Show and Honorable Mention

Two St. Augustine Prep artists took awards in the Vineland Public Library Juried Art Show. Devin Mulloy, whose art is shown here, took Best of Show, and Joe Quinlan received an honorable mention for his work. Spenser Zaleskiewicz and Anthony Biagi also participated in the show.
The art exhibit was part of Italian Heritage month and featured art from high school students from throughout South Jersey. An Artists’ Reception will be held at the Vineland Public Library, 1058 E. Landis Avenue, on Saturday, October 25, at noon where over twenty awards, including Best in Show, will be presented for winning entries during. Come out and support our St. Augustine Prep artists.
Renowned artist Burton Wasserman will critique the award-winning entries during the program. Wasserman is a retired professor of art at Rowan University. He is the author of five books, hundreds of magazine articles about artists and their work, and contributes monthly columns of criticism and commentary to Icon and Art Matters. Wasserman has also dealt with art on radio and television in New York City and Philadelphia. He has held more than 40 solo shows and his paintings, relief constructions, and original screen prints are numbered among the holdings of 35 museums and other institutional settings in America and abroad. The art show is organized by Dr. Frank DeMaio as part of the cultural activities of the Sicilian American Club in honor of Italian Heritage Month.
