Important Graduation Reminders

Posted May 14th, 2013

  1. Tickets are required for admission. No one will be admitted without a blue or white ticket. Each family has received five (5) blue tickets and three (3) white tickets. The blue tickets are good for seats on the turf, and the white tickets are good for seats in the bleachers. In the event of inclement weather, blue ticket-holders will be granted admission to the Rodio Gym, and white ticket-holders will be seated in the Consalo Dining Hall to watch graduation live on the projection screen.
  2. The campus bookstore in the Forum will be open on Sunday, May 19, for all families and friends of the Prep.
  3. As stated in the letter from Fr. Reilly on graduation (click here), students are reminded to dress appropriately in a white shirt, tie, socks, dress shoes, and dress pants under their graduation gown.
  4. Senior families are reminded of the Parent/Guardian of the Class of 2013 – Senior Faculty Reception on Friday, May 17 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Garden at the Monastery.
  5. DVDs of the 2013 Baccalaureate Mass and Commencement Exercises will be available to purchase for $20.00 per DVD. To reserve your DVD, please send cash or a check (no credit cards, please) to the Bursar’s Office Mrs.Flamini@Hermits.com. The DVD will be sent in the mail roughly three weeks after graduation.
  6. A recommendation on shoe attire for ladies at graduation: It can be very difficult to walk across the turf in high heels, therefore the Administration recommends wearing flat-bottomed shoes if possible.
  7. There will be accommodations for those requiring special assistance at graduation. There will be students, staff, and security personnel directing drivers to the appropriate parking areas. The drop-off point for those requiring special assistance will be the gate alongside the parking lot behind the home bleachers at LaRosa Field.
  8. Thanks for your attention to these matters, and we look forward to seeing you at the Garden Party on Friday, May 17, and Sunday, May 19.
