Interact Club Pennies for Patients Collection Comes to an End

Posted April 15th, 2014

The Interact Club’s Battle of the Classes has come to an end.  Victory belongs to the Junior and the Freshman classes! The Junior class was victorious for their unwavering daily participation in the campaign.  The Freshman class was victorious for securing the single largest donation. The entire junior class along with the entire Freshman class will enjoy a complimentary dress down day on Wednesday, April 16.
Together, we raised $1154.63 as part of the nationwide campaign called Pennies for Patients, which is part of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Youth Program. This has earned the school a “Champions of Change Banner.” 27,000 schools nationwide participate in this program.  The collection campaign, which ran from March 24 to April 11, will help people with blood cancers like leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma.  St. Augustine Prep has helped families in the LLS financial aid program as well, and has supported our local hero, Evelyn, who lives in Somerdale, NJ.
Hermit pride!
