Jane Morris and Steve Merritt of Villanova University Address Students

On Tuesday, March 11, Ms. Jane Morris, Director of Undergraduate Research and Fellowship from Villanova University, and Mr. Steve Merritt, Dean of Enrollment Management at Villanova University, visited the campus of St. Augustine Prep to deliver presentations to the sophomores and juniors.

Both classes gathered in Rodio Gym for a presentation by Ms. Morris, who discussed the Villanova Presidential Scholarship opportunity which is available to those students who meet the criteria. When Ms. Morris completed her presentation, the sophomores were excused and the juniors remained in the gymnasium for Mr. Merritt’s presentation. Mr. Merritt delivered an interactive presentation in which he worked with the juniors on writing effective college application essays.

The Office of College Guidance and Counseling takes advantage of relationship with Villanova University to organize similar presentations annually. This is just one of the many reasons that St. Augustine Prep benefits from this relationship.
