Junior Runs Half Marathon in Walt Disney World

St. Augustine Prep scholar-athlete Patrick Irelan (Class of 2014) recently competed in the Disney Half Marathon race in Orlando, Florida, on January 12. Patrick showed some Hermit Pride by wearing a St. Augustine Prep singlet in the thirteen-plus mile race through Walt Disney World. Patrick ran a 1:30:31, finishing 165th overall (9th in his Division) in a field of over 23,000 runners. That time placed Patrick in the top one percent of runners in the event, a truly remarkable accomplishment for the long-distance runner.
