Juniors Receive Class Rings
Posted January 29th, 2013
On Sunday, January 27, the members of Class of 2014 received their class rings as a part of the annual Junior Ring Mass celebrated on the campus of St. Augustine Prep. The juniors and their families celebrated Mass in the Rodio Gym, and were presented with their class rings by President Fr. Donald Reilly, O.S.A. The celebration concluded with a breakfast reception for the families in the Consalo Dining Hall. This yearly tradition adds a particular spiritual element to the tradition of receiving class rings. It is one of the features that make Catholic education unique. In his homily, Fr. Reilly reminded the students, “You are not simply acquiring a new piece of jewelry; you are receiving a sign of your commitment to the values of Truth, Unity and Love.”
