Prep Talk

Lessons from a Superior Court Judge

Posted January 21st, 2015

Students in Mr. LoSasso’s Political Science classes were privileged to hear Atlantic County Superior Court Judge Mark Sandson speak on a variety of topics including the Grand Jury Process yesterday morning. Judge Sandson, whose son Sam is a Junior here at the Prep, spent time explaining the process of a criminal court case, the effects of narcotics on criminals, and the penalties for gun and drug offenses, as well as answering questions from the students.

But the lesson isn’t over for the students who will next visit Judge Sandson in the Atlantic County Courthouse to experience, first-hand, the judicial process and provide them positive interaction with those who keep the legal system running smoothly in our area.

Judge Sandson’s visit is part of the One Judge-One School community outreach program designed to connect judges and court staff with local high schools to educate, inform, and explain court processes.
