Mental Toughness Students Provide Dinner to Ronald McDonald House
Posted February 11th, 2015
Mental Toughness 3rd semester students, along with Mr. Filipczak and Mr. Pracher, assisted those living at the Camden Ronald McDonald house by making dinner for the nearly 50 residents. Those who call the house their temporary home are there while their children are being treated at area hospitals for critical illnesses or traumatic injuries. Bottino’s Shoprite, Acme, and BJ’s provided the necessary donations to make the dinner possible.
The Mental Toughness Boot Camp Third Semester program helps to foster confidence, courage, performance-based results, and a tolerance to “pain.” The course assists students in their development of mental toughness through both physical and mental challenges-from academic goal setting and project planning, to paintball and even parkour! Each student in the Boot Camp also participates in a service-learning aspect of the program. This year, the Ronald McDonald House was chosen as the service project.
