Mental Toughness Third Semester Tower Building

Posted November 24th, 2015

The Mental Toughness course involves military-style squad competitions for students throughout the year to compete as individuals and as teams. For the Mental Toughness Third Semester activity (a team-building exercise), the squads competed to build the best tower that would hold a baseball (dropped from a height) without collapsing. The squads were given paper plates, cups, bowls, plastic utensils and rubber bands. A touch challenge! Be sure to check out the fun video below to see how each project fared in competition! Throughout the course, students participate in the following physical challenges: Paintball, Kayak, Ropes Course, Goliath Run and Squad Day. They also participate in mental challenges, such as Mission Planning and Academic Strength, as well as service to others projects, such as Ronald McDonald House. The Mental Toughness course helps build character and leadership as well as problem-solving skills, and cements the bonds of brotherhood with fellow students.
