Monk from India Speaks to Art Classes

Posted October 4th, 2013

On October 2, Yatiishvaqrananda, a monk from India, spoke to the students in all of Mrs. Lorraine Dutta’s art classes about concentration of mind and meditation.  In his previous life he was an engineer, and now he is the Head Master of an all-boys college and high school in Purulia, in the State of West Bengal, one of the most impoverished districts of India. The college is the top level of the local educational system and serves more than 60 neighboring villages.  He also operates a separate school for young women.

Yatiishvaqrananda also spoke to the students about the future and education, and about how important young people are in society.
