Nicholas Schalek ’16 Receives Eagle Scout Rank

On Saturday, 11/14, a ceremony was held at St. Augustine Prep for one of our seniors, Nicholas Schalek, who was recognized at an Eagle Court of Honor for his attainment of the rank of Eagle Scout. Pictured alongside of Nick are his parents, Fred and Tracey, and his younger brother, Colby. For his Eagle Scout Project, Nick restored the WWI Memorial at the Woodbine Volunteer Fire Department which honors those who served in the war from his hometown of Woodbine.

Nick received numerous proclamations of recognition including those from Senator Van Drew, Congressman LoBiondo, the NJ State Police, and the American Legion to name a few. In addition to his Eagle Scout badge, Nicholas also holds 28 merit badges. Congratulations Nicholas! #hermitpride
