Philosophy of Coaching Third Semester Details

The Philosophy of Coaching Third Semester course will be running from May 28 – June 6.  The goal of the course is for students to gain a perspective on what it takes to be a coach on the High school, Collegiate, and professional levels.  There are many details that go into the world of coaching, and this course will explore those different areas by hosting coaches as guest speakers.  The tentative itinerary is as follows:

Tuesday May 28 – St. Augustine Prep (9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.)

Introduction and short films

Wednesday May 29 – St. Augustine Prep (9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.)

Coach Reardon – St. Augustine Prep Men’s Football Coach

Thursday May 30 – St. Augustine Prep (9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.)

Short films / research on coaches for Friday

Friday May 31 –   St. Augustine prep (9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.)

Coach Giannini – La Salle University (Men’s Basketball Coach)

Coach Cariedo – Widener University (Men’s Basketball Coach)

Coach Bitner – Stockton University (Men’s Basketball Asst Coach)

Monday June 3 – St. Augustine Prep (9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.)

Coach Rodio -St. Augustine Prep Men’s Basketball Coach

Tuesday June 4 – Rutgers University & NY Jets (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)
