Praesidium Representatives to Visit Campus

Posted January 27th, 2012

From February 7-10, representatives from Praesidium, a safe environment management firm, will visit the campus of St. Augustine Prep.  Praesidium works with many religious and independent schools to equip these institutions with tools to help manage the challenges of educating children in today’s world. St. Augustine Prep has begun the process of applying for accreditation through Praesidium’s School Accreditation Program.  The February 7-10 campus visit, during which time the representatives will conduct interviews with faculty, staff, and administration and observe the day-to-day operations of the school, is the first step in this accreditation process.

For guidance in this effort, the administration has reached out to a member of the Augustinian Order who has extensive experience in this arena. Br. Robert Thornton, O.S.A., Psy. D., is a clinical psychologist who will be working in coordination with St. Augustine Prep to facilitate the accreditation process.  He will be present on campus for the duration of the site visit by Praesidium.
