Prep Educator Receives “NFL All-Pro” Award

Posted August 8th, 2016

Our passionate faculty is comprised of many “all-pros” but one in particular has caught the eye of the Philadelphia Eagles and the National Football League.  We are proud to announce that Mrs. Diana Bertonazzi is one of only ten educators selected by the Philadelphia Eagles as a 2016 Axalta All-Pro Teacher!

Rising amongst hundreds of nominations on the basis of educational drive, innovation in the classroom and community ownership – Mrs. Bertonazzi’s All-Pro status tabs her as a candidate for the Philadelphia Eagles Teacher of the Year Award.  Accompanying a donation to the school and a personalized Eagles jersey, “Mrs. B” will be recognized at an upcoming Eagles home game and also at an Awards Reception held at Lincoln Financial Field later this year.

News of Diana’s accomplishment was met with happiness and praise throughout the Prep Community.  Dean of Academics, Mr. Kevin Burke ’00 comments, “Mrs. Bertonazzi is a wonderful educator.  She is well-respected by her peers and loved by her students.  We are blessed to have her on our faculty.”  President, Fr. Donald F. Reilly proudly stated, “Now others know what we knew all along.

Congratulations and good luck Diana – we will be rooting for you towards capturing the Philadelphia Eagles’ “Teacher of the Year” award!
