Prep Leaders Visit Hermits Alumni at Drexel
Posted January 13th, 2015
On Sunday, January 11, St. Augustine Prep President Fr. Donald Reilly, O.S.A., D. Min., Mr. Kevin Burke, Mr. Bob Boyle, Mr. Sean Dugan, and Mr. David Zappariello had lunch with those Hermit alumni who currently attend Drexel University.
“It’s a new initiative started at the end of last year to keep them apprised of the great things happening on campus since their graduation,” said Mr. Zappariello ’83, Director of Alumni and External Affairs.
The first event was held at Villanova with future meetings being arranged for St. Joseph’s and Temple.
“It’s so wonderful to see how our alumni are thriving in the collegiate atmosphere,” said Fr. Reilly. “I always ask if we’ve prepared them well, and not surprisingly, they all respond with a resounding ‘yes.’”
During the Drexel visit, alumni were introduced to the new master plan, updated on academic and enrollment programs, and the communications tools the Office of Institutional Advancement are using to keep the alumni engaged with their alma mater.
“I really enjoyed seeing everyone together again.” said Dillon Gravenstine ’13. “It brought back great memories and reaffirmed the lifelong connection I will always have with my fellow Hermit brothers.”
Those in attendance were Bien Bueno, Will Washington, Bob White, Dillon Gravenstine, Dan Palumbo, Greg Burns, BoDean Messier, Brian Tindall, Kyle Killian, Zach Seither, Matt Mohnack, Jim Edwards, Matt Fuller, and Collin Wetherington.
