Prep Looking for Participants in Job Shadow Program for 2015

Posted January 13th, 2015

It is our mission at St. Augustine to provide Prep students with a rich and comprehensive educational experience; not only in the classroom, but within the community. Last year a new and valuable initiative was launched – the 2014 Job Shadow Program.  The program served as an enrichment opportunity for our junior students as they gained real-world job insight.

The success of this initiative resulted largely from to the contributions made by the Prep community as a whole.  Through a network of participating parents, alumni and friends of the Prep, students had an in-depth look at professions they had an interest in pursuing.  Shadowing at organizations such as Comcast, Morgan Stanley, and Premier Orthopedics, as well as in courtrooms and various businesses across the tri-state area, was truly a valuable experience for our college bound students.

The College Guidance Department is now seeking participation and support from the Prep Community to assist with the 2015 Job Shadow Program.  If you have the capability or know of a business that would be agreeable to host a Prep student(s), as they explore and gain information about a profession for a one day to three day period during the week of February 23-27, 2015 please click here.

This is a very important program and the potential is limitless for our students.  It will certainly make a difference in their decision making for the future.  We are grateful for your consideration and hopeful participation. Our students will greatly benefit from it!
