Prep Student Achieves Eagle Scout

St. Augustine Prep student Joe Tordella (Class of 2013) recently achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. Tordella went before the Board of Review on August 7, 2012.  The Eagle Scout rank is the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scouts.  For his Eagle project, Joe and his crew of scouts installed a “Welcome to Ocean City” sign at the municipal airport on Bay Avenue in Ocean City, NJ. He raised funds by speaking to numerous local organizations and writing to the Hangar Association members.

Joe is also a student pilot who flies out of Ocean City Municipal Airport.
