Posted September 7th, 2012

Gregory J. Battschinger (Class of 2015) will receive the Eagle Scout award on Sunday, September 30. Gregory’s Eagle project was conducted in coordination with the Egg Harbor Township Fire Department where he led his Scouts for 480 man-hours to grease 1650 fittings on all 550 township fire hydrants, and to place a refelective steel marker post behind each hydrant. The $3600 project will have a positive effect on the safety of each resident in the township.

Gregory has served as the Troop’s Senior Patrol Leader for two years and has successfully completed National Youth Leader Training. He served as an NYLT staff member, led his troop on numerous campouts, over night hikes, and five week-long summer camps, and he attended the 2010 National Scout Jamboree at Fort AP Hill, Virginia and Philmont Scout Ranch, New Mexico.

Congratulations, Gregory!
