‘Servin’ It Up for Sal’ Senior Caritas Project

Posted September 2nd, 2014

On Saturday September 6, seniors Vincenzo Dragone and Michael Ritter are hosting a Volleyball Tournament, “Servin’ It Up for Sal”, as their Caritas Project. It is in honor and memory of 2004 Prep graduate and 1st. Lt. Salvatore S. Corma. Sal tragically lost his life on August 29, 2010 while stationed in Afghanistan.

The tournament begins at 11:00 a.m. Teams of four are needed at $15 a person. It will be held at Brookside Swim and Dive Club in Glassboro (11 Ruth H. Mancuso Ln. Glassboro, NJ 08028). The winning team will receive a $100 cash prize. Adults are encouraged to participate as well.

Proceeds will be used to purchase a granite stone or bench, to be engraved, and placed in front of one of the flag poles on campus. Monetary Donations will also be accepted. The memorial will include Sal’s name along with all those who graduated from the Prep and lost their lives giving the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Please contact Vincenzo Dragone (dragone.vincenzo@hermits.org) or Michael Ritter (ritter.michael@hermits.org) if you have any questions!
